Three blockbusters will be competing at the Hindi box office, Stree 2 by Shraddha Kapoor, Vedaa by John Abraham and Akshay Kumar Kyle Mayne. However, this week’s only standalone release 2nd Street is lagging way behind its rivals in this race as advance bookings are now available to the public.
The film has broken its own bar. The original “Stree” was released in 2018, making Rs 682 crore on its opening day alone and nearly Rs 130 crore during its theatrical run conclusion. And Stree 2 went past Stree’s first-day number just through pre-booking. According to Saknielke, the horror-comedy sequel has sold over two hundred twenty one thousand tickets and as a result, total sales have reached to R$687 crores. It is expected that before even the movie is released in two days from now it will easily cross the mark of ten crores.
Advance bookings for Maharashtra and Delhi circuits have been at the forefront collecting Rs 183 crore and Rs187 crores respectively. Rajkumar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi Abhishek Banerjee will return in Streets 2 while also featuring Akshay Kumar’s cameo appearances.
Dinesh Vijan’ s horror-comedy universe includes Bhediya and Munjya of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon Abhay Verma, Sharvari Mona Singh too. And soon there’ll be vampires joining them with Ayushmann Khurrana starring alongside Rashmika Mandanna.
