The post sparked outrage online, with Dogra and other users condemning YesMadam’s actions. The post received hundreds of comments, with many users criticizing the company’s decision to fire employees for being honest about their mental health struggles.
Commenting on the post, All India Employees Association wrote: “People are now taking unfair advantage because of holes in the system. If you can’t pay, don’t hire. If you can’t ensure a healthy work environment, don’t hire. Don’t mentally harass employees.
Meanwhile, another user wrote: “Toxic work culture is at its peak. So now will being honest about stress get you fired? Shame on you, yes, ma’am! Instead of finding ways to reduce workplace stress and improve employee mental health, you decided “Solved” by firing those employees who spoke out? What’s the point? If companies in India continue to punish honest behavior like this, how can we expect to have safe, supportive workplaces? Enough with the false “we care” statements. True support means listening and action, not silence!
