Sri Lanka will host New Zealand for a two-match Test series during the forthcoming presidential election, the country’s cricket board said on Friday.
First Test is scheduled to start at Galle on September 18 but according to AFP, the board has announced that there will be a rest day on September 21 the day of voting.
Final game of also played at Galle will begin from 26th September.
Their last visit was in August 2019 when they drew two-match test series with hosts Sri Lanka.
This sovereign default followed by its first ever presidential elections next month after an unprecedented economic crisis in 2022.
