An Ohio woman was hurt Monday night after being hit with a can of Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer during a promotional event in Medina Township. According to the reports by US Today, the incident occurred at around 5:30 pm (local time) at Thirsty Cowboy, a popular local music venue where Hogan was promoting his newly launched beer.
The lady who had not been named publicly took a direct blow from a thrown beer can which made her fall on the ground. Those present at the scene gave mixed reports about what happened; some maintained that Hulk Hogan threw it while others claimed that one of his crew members tossed it “like pitching a baseball.” The woman suffered an injury that required her to get nine stitches due to the impact.
Hogan was in Medina Township, near Akron as part of a 17-state tour to promote Real American Beer which came out in early June. The brand has been described as an “easy-drinking light lager” targeted at wrestling legend enthusiasts and ale fans alike.
According to US Today, Medina Township police were called to the place after this episode. No arrests were made as officers received different testimonies from witnesses said US Today. The woman suffering from injuries received initial treatment for her wound before getting nine stitches later on.
During his press release from June, Hulk Hogan spoke of his excitement concerning the beverage’s introduction stating: “We’ve assembled an all-star group of people behind it and I’m thrilled about introducing Real American Beer to my followers everywhere so they can experience real taste.”
