Spotify has been restored after a lengthy outage that affected users around the world. The music streaming platform is closed to users across the world, including India. Spotify acknowledged the outage in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying “We are now aware of some issues and are checking them!”.

In informing users that service has been restored, the company said: “Everything is looking better now! If you still need help, please leave a message to @SpotifyCares.
The Spotify community page now reads:

Spotify outage lasted about 3 hours
Spotify has now revealed all the details about the outage – the duration of the downtime and the reasons behind it. The outage lasted about three hours, according to DownDetector. The incident started around 8pm (standard time) and lasted until 11:15pm, with fewer reports. At its peak, power outages affected about 40,000 customers.
