Recently, Korean drama heartthrobs Song Joong KiKnown for his heartbreaking performances, tribute to the late actor Lee Sun Kyun and appeared on FM4U’s “Perfect Day Lee Sang Soon”. Speaking about their relationship, Song said he was a huge fan of Lee’s Korean drama “Mr.” and how he felt about the tragic loss.
Lee Sun Kyun is probably best known outside of South Korea only for her role in the Oscar-winningParasite‘, was found dead. He is 48 years old. His body was found in December 2023 and he was said to have committed suicide. Before his death, police were investigating him on suspicion of drug abuse.
During the broadcast, Song Joong Ki confessed that he really liked the “My Sir” OST “Grown Ups” and said it was his favorite song. “This is one of my favorite songs, and it touches a lot of people’s hearts, so I wanted to share it with everyone,” Song explained. Song also added that he has started watching the drama again for Lee. As the anniversary of my dear brother Lee Sun-kyun’s death approaches, I miss him more and more. The 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), where he received the Korean Film Achievement Award.
His final film, “A Happy Place,” is part of a touching tribute. Song Joong Ki and actress Ha Yoon Kyung reportedly couldn’t hold back tears as they delivered touching speeches showcasing Song Joong Ki’s incredible contributions to movies.
In addition to paying tribute to Lee Myung-bak, Song Joong-ki also shared a side of his personal life. Now happily married to British actress Katie Louise Sanders, the actor is over the moon to be a father of two. “I feel like my happiness has not only doubled, but increased 2,000 times,” he smiles proudly and happily. “Thankfully, both my son and daughter were born healthy, and my life feels full these days.”
Song also talked about his latest film, ‘Bogotá: The Lost City‘. This South Korean crime thriller is directed by Kim Sung-je and stars Song, Lee Hee-joon and Kwon Hae-hyo. This Colombian gangster movie will be released in South Korea on December 31, 2024.
