The actress and fashionista celebrated her 39th birthday on Sunday Sonam Kapoor I received a thoughtful gift from my husband, Anand Ahujawho gave her the first edition of the Nobel Prize winner’s collection of poems Gitanjali Rabindranath Tagorepublished in India in 1910.
Sonam shared a picture of the iconic book on her Instagram Story and posted a heartfelt thank you note for her husband.
“A birthday gift from my amazing husband…the first edition of Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali, translated into English. Thank you @anandahuja. I don’t know what I did to deserve you,” Sonam wrote.
Sonam married her long-time boyfriend Anand in 2018 after nine years of dating. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Vayu, in 2022.
Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who worked with Sonam in the film Veere Di Wedding, also shared a black and white photo on her Instagram of them smiling at the camera.
Kareena wrote: “Happy birthday my dear Sonam. Love you and wish you happiness.”
‘Veere Di Wedding’ released in 2018 starring Kareena and Sonam Swara Bhaskar, Shika Tarsania, Sumit Vyas, Vishwas Jini and Neena Gupta. The film tells the story of four young female friends who are dealing with various issues in their families and romantic relationships.
