Ambati Rayudu, the ex-India batsman poked fun at Royal Challengers Bengaluru by posting Chennai Super Kings’ – CSK’s fifth Indian Premier League title celebration video on his Instagram page.
This clip shows CSK players celebrating their fifth IPL cup last year. His act is seen as a response to RCB’s jubilant celebrations after knocking out CSK and booking a place in playoffs.
“Just giving you a hint,” said Rayudu captioning the video.
The former CSK player also slammed RCB after their loss to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator on Wednesday saying aggressive celebrations cannot win you trophies.
“Talking about RCB today doesn’t mean that it’s all about passion and aggression. It means that you definitely have to plan. Play-offs are not everything for an IPL trophy holder. You need to fight again; don’t think you will take home the tournament just by defeating us. They must come back next year,” Rayudu told Star Sports.
Ambati Rayudu indicated that RCB does not believe in its own Indian players. For example, he mentioned Virat Kohli and pointed out that no Indian batter except this former national skipper has had consistent contributions to the team over time.
“Believe more in Indians especially Indian talent; I don’t think ever since 16 years any Indian batter other than Virat Kohli made more than 1000 runs while Virat himself is on close to 8000 runs…this means there is no confidence in your ability,” he continued.
