Skanda Sashti 2024: Puja Ceremony
1. Get up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean your home, puja room and make rangoli with rice flour at the door.
3. Prepare bhog prasad for the idol.
4. Take a wooden board, place the idol of Lord Kartikeya, offer garland, light diya with ghee and offer fruits.
5. Place a kalash filled with water.
6. Visit the temple and perform abhishekam with panchamrit to the idol of Lord Karitkeya.
7. Offer coconuts to King Skanda to drive away all evil energies.
8. Offer all offerings to Lord Murugan.
9. Chant various mantras to express gratitude and seek blessings.
10. Devotees should abstain from tamasik activities.
11. In the evening, one can break the fast and eat Sattvik food.
