India’s traveling reserves for the ongoing T20 World Cup, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan, will return home after their match against Canada, a report stated.
In case of any emergencies, the two were also among other crew members who went to Florida. The four-people away reserve had Shubman Gill, Avesh, Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed.
Gill and Avesh would only make trips on the US leg which was going to vary in case of unexpected injuries at all according to Cricbuzz.
The group stage is over for the Rohit Sharma-led team that won three successive games easily moving into the Super Eight phase of this contest. On Saturday India will play Canada in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as they conclude the US leg of the tournament.
Even if it rains on June 24th in St. Lucia or June 22nd in Antigua, India will still lead Group A having beaten Ireland, Pakistan and USA. Ahead of its Caribbean leg scheduled for later this year unfavorable weather conditions could impede India’s winning momentum in Florida where they have been preparing for the event.
