After the IPL 2024 final, Shah Rukh Khan the Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner received a special memento from Venky Mysore the CEO during an award ceremony that took place in the dressing room.
Mysore said that Shah Rukh’s appearance was ‘game changing moment’ for his team.
In his speech, Shah Rukh Khan thanked everyone and singled out Gautam Gambhir as well. “But one thing I have to say is that I want to thank Gautam Gambhir specifically for something we never thanked him specifically for. when we started off two things we had discussed which may be him dancing maybe. Sunil already crossed that line. I saw him dance. So today night we have to make GG [Gautam Gambhir] dance,” he said amidst a loud cheer and a smile from Gambhir.
Shah Rukh went on to state, “Thanks everyone once again. You all are great people. God bless you all.Don’t fall sick and best of luck wherever we go ahead from here onwards.And, Jay, Juhi, Jahnavi, Suhana, Pooja all of us who love you guys so much will get very emotional listening to you and wish this team was there with us for life.I know what’s coming next…You kept listening to my speeches no matter how boring they were.”

The victory celebration was charged with emotions because at Chennai’ MA Chidambaram Stadium, despite having been recently discharged from hospital due to heat stroke symptoms; Shah Rukh Khan watched KKR’s winning match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Shah Rukh came along with his daughter Suhana who has been present in almost every game this season consistently backing up her team.
