Shakira Shabnam, a fast bowler with promise and prodigious talent, has been called into the Indian women’s cricket team for the first time to play South Africa in the current series at home.
The teenager has been picked to feature in all the three formats and she joined up with the squad midway through the season. Audi series In Bangalore, India is already leading 2-0.
With Shakir being added to this setup, rest of the squad will be retained by Indian selectors for remaining matches. The third and final ODI is scheduled to be played in Bengaluru on Sunday.
