As per the write-up from local media outlet, twelve people have been injured due to a fire that erupted at a hotel near Bucheon City in South Korea. The fire started in a room on the eighth floor of the hotel.
The victims are currently being treated at a nearby hospital. Although three were seriously affected by smoke inhalation, their condition is not life-threatening as of now.
According to Yonhap, several individuals died when they jumped out of windows onto air mattresses whereas another woman was found unconscious on the staircase and later died in hospital.
In order to put off this inferno and save lives; Lee Sang-min; Interior Minister requested Fire Services Department and Local Governments to deploy everything within their means: any personnel or equipment available at their disposal. According to KBS, South Korea’s state broadcaster, all of the deceased were citizens of South Korea.
At the time of the incident there were 23 residents in the building with multiple bodies discovered in guestrooms, hallways and stairwells according to reports.
