Gandhi wrote this letter following his heavy attack on BJP on July 1 during discussion on Motion of Thanks for President’s Address.

Every Member has a right to raise people’s concerns in parliament. I exercised that right yesterday like I had done before when acting within my duties to my citizens. Contrary principles to Parliament, here are my considered remarks removed from record,” added Gandhi.
Rahul also drew attention to Anurag Thakur’s speech where only a single word was expunged though it was full of allegations.
“For selective deletion like these which don’t make any sense at all, with all respect due to your good self,” Rahul pointed out.
Congressional leaders are demanding that the stricken comments be restored/remarks expunged from proceedings be reinstated.
Rahul Gandhi came down heavily on Bharatiya Janata Party during his maiden speech as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha alleging its leaders were stoking social tensions among people.
These statements angered ruling party members and drew an unusual response from PM, who disagreed with him and accused him for slandering Hinduism by branding entire Hindu community violent.
