New Delhi: Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole Said Thursday that the seat-sharing agreement between the two parties Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has been finalized, but the chief minister’s choice will be decided only after the Maharashtra government comes to power. MVA’s three allies – Congress; shiva sena (UBT), and Kuomintang Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) – Each will fight for 85 seats.
When asked if he would become chief minister, Patole said, “First, our responsibility is to bring our government to power. Then our high command will take a decision. We want to protect Maharashtra state.
Regarding seat sharing, Patole said a formal announcement will be made on Thursday evening or Friday morning.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) has announced a preliminary list of 65 candidates for the upcoming elections, including Aaditya Thackeray and Sunil Raut. Aaditya Thackeray will contest from Worli assembly constituency.
The nomination process for 288 parliamentary seats is currently underway, with voting scheduled for November 20 and the results to be announced on November 23.
In the previous Maharashtra Assembly elections in 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party became the dominant party with 105 seats, followed by the Shiv Sena with 56 seats and the Congress with 44 seats.
