Samsung The latest has been announced you have a modelGauss 2 was unveiled at this year’s Samsung Developer Conference 2024 in South Korea.
According to Samsung, the new model is designed to Artificial intelligence characteristics Across a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and even home appliances.
While the recently released Samsung Galaxy S24 FE may not use Gauss 2, the upcoming Samsung device Models may come with various AI-driven features. This includes potential features like automatic settings adjustments, which could eventually eliminate the need for traditional settings menus.
Samsung’s review of Gauss 2
Paul Kyungwhoon Cheun, president and chief technology officer of Samsung’s Device Experience (DX) division and head of Samsung Research, said the company aims to enhance user experience through artificial intelligence and data analysis.
“With three different models, Samsung Gauss2 has increased our internal productivity, and we plan to integrate it into products to provide a higher level of convenience and personalization,” he added.
Why Gaussian 2 is better than Gaussian 1
Samsung’s new Gauss 2 AI model is multi-modal, meaning it can process images, text and code at the same time. This feature enhances its ability to support artificial intelligence capabilities across a variety of devices. Gauss 2 is available in three versions: Compact, Balanced and Supreme, each offering different levels of functionality and performance.
Compact: This version is designed for offline use and runs directly on the device without an internet connection.
Balanced: This version balances on-device processing with online resources to improve speed and efficiency.
Supreme: The most powerful version, Supreme, dynamically utilizes resources and algorithm changes to provide optimal performance.
Samsung claims Gauss 2 can communicate in up to 14 languages and process 1.5 to 3 times faster than its predecessor, depending on the version.
Samsung’s Gauss 2 AI ‘already hard at work’
Samsung isn’t just talking about the potential of Gauss 2; The company has deployed artificial intelligence models internally and achieved impressive results. More than 60% of developers in Samsung’s DX division are actively using Gauss 2 to perform tasks such as coding assistance, text translation, email writing and document summarization.
In addition to internal use, Gauss 2 is also implemented in Samsung’s call centers. There, artificial intelligence helps categorize and summarize customer interactions, potentially improving efficiency and customer service. This demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into its operations to improve productivity and enhance user experience.
