The Sabarmati Report is based on the 2002 godhra train burning The event was released on Friday, November 15, with a box office debut of around Rs 125 crore. Since the film is aimed at a niche audience, it will only be released on 600 screens. So this number is pretty good. The good thing is there was some growth on Saturday and Sunday.
Sabarmati Report movie review
The growth rate on Saturday was about 68% and the revenue was about Rs 21 crore. On Sunday, the price increased further to Rs 3 crore. However, on the first Monday, it fell again and made Rs 11 crore. The film’s total box office collection so far is Rs 745 crore.
Monday’s test was critical for the film, and while it did see a dip, which was to be expected, it would be great if the film continues to maintain these numbers in the coming days due to positive word of mouth feat.
Meanwhile, Diwali releases “Singham Again” and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” continue to dominate the box office. However, “Singham Again” earned even less than “Sabarmati Report” on Monday as it earned only Rs 96 lakh. The total funds raised for the film is Rs 231.86 crore.
“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” earned Rs 165 crore on Monday, taking its total revenue in India so far to Rs 233.05 crore. As both the films are slowly coming to an end, if word of mouth is anything to go by, Sabarmati Report may slowly see a decent number in the coming days.
