Rohit missed the opening Test in Perth on paternity leave after giving birth to a baby boy with his wife Ritika Sajid.

After the team won the warm-up match, Rohit expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and said they had achieved their goals as a unit.

“It was awesome (the game and the win). We got what we wanted as a team. It was a little unfortunate that we couldn’t play the whole game, but we made the most of our time. Absolutely awesome (see crowd).
After participating in the two-day warm-up match, Rohit and his team left Canberra for the Adelaide Test, which will begin on December 6.
India defeated Australia by 295 runs in Perth to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
