NEW DELHI: It would be perilous to underestimate Royal Challengers Bengaluru, with their six consecutive wins and the belief that came from eliminating Chennai Super Kings, in the next knockout stages as well as for Ambati Rayudu who thinks they have made it clear that they will win against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.
In an incredible comeback during the second half of IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished last and moved into the playoffs while Rajasthan Royals lost their steam after having a great start to the season by losing four matches on a trot.
‘We are looking like a matured side at this time and I think playing against us in eliminator can be really tough for RR,’ Rayudu said about his team’s chances on Star Sports Cricket Live.
“Looking at it now, I’d say RCB are – because of how they’ve been playing I mean they had one clinical game versus CSK,” he added. “But again RR had this gap between matches so that washout could have helped them going into this Eliminator against RCB who I think currently is a more experienced side where everybody knows what he has to do. So eventually they’ll be qualifiers 2’’.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended up fourth in points table while rain ruined Rajasthan Royals’ hopes of finishing top-two.
The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is set to host the Eliminator match between RCB and RR on Wednesday
On Tuesday, Kolkata Knight Riders will play Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1 at the same venue.
