New Delhi: reserve bank of india (RBI) A bomb threat was received on Friday and Mumbai police are investigating the matter. The threat was sent via a Russian-language email to the bank’s official website.
A case has been registered against an unidentified person at MRA Marg police station in Mataram. The DCP of Mumbai Police Zone 1 said, “A threatening email was received on the official website of the Reserve Bank of India. The email was in Russian and warned of blowing up the bank. Mata has registered a case against the unidentified accused.” Ramabai Marg ( MRA Marg) police station is investigating the matter.
Previously, six schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email, triggering multiple agencies to raid their premises. The latest threat comes after at least 44 schools received similar emails on December 9.
Reacting to the development, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal noted that this was the second such incident in a week and asked how these bomb threats would affect children.
Delhi Fire Service officials said, “We received calls (about the threat) from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar (4.21 am), Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri (6.23 am) and DPS Amar Colony in east Delhi. e-mail).
“(Also picking up calls) South Delhi Public School from Defense Colony (7:57 AM), Delhi Police Public School in Safdarjung (8:02 AM) and Venkateshwar Global School in Rohini (8:30 AM) ,” he added.
