Ranchi: Ahead of the first meeting of the sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on December 9, Ranchi district administration clamped restraining order In accordance with Article 163 of the BNS to ensure proper law and order. The meeting is scheduled to be held from December 9th to 12th.
According to a joint order issued by Ranchi Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police, no processions, rallies, demonstrations or gatherings shall be held within a radius of 200 meters of the Assembly premises.
Additionally, gatherings or events of five or more people in designated areas are prohibited (excluding officials/employees performing government duties, court work, and religious or funeral ceremonies).
Under the order, the carrying or movement of firearms or weapons of any kind such as firearms, rifles, revolvers, pistols, bombs, explosives, etc. (excluding officials/employees on government mission) is also prohibited.
Additionally, organizing any sit-ins, demonstrations, blockades, marches, rallies, or public gatherings; the use of any loudspeakers is not permitted (excluding officials and employees performing government duties).
“This ban will be in effect from 8 a.m. on December 9 to 10 p.m. on December 12,” the order states.
It is worth noting that the regular meeting was held after the new government was formed, consisting of Hemant Soren leading the Indian bloc in the recently concluded parliamentary elections.
