In view of recent assembly and general elections, the integrated budget of Rajasthan for the financial year 2024-25 has been presented by State Finance Minister Diya Kumari.
These are the key details:
- For six project related jejem worth Rs. 20,370 Crores covering over 5846 villages.
- Announce amrut 2.0 worth Rs 5,180 items will cover 185 urban settlements in the next two years.
- Drinking water for other related small projects was announced at Rs .187 Cr.
- Service reservoir and put down pipeline Solve drinking water crisis in Ajmer.
- Each state constituency is to have twenty hand pumps and ten tubewells constructed across it.
- The target of renewable energy power generation has been increased to 33,600 MWs.
- In two years, RSRTC will get a total of500 public buses and 800 service buses including 300 electric ones.
- To improve connectivity in rural areas Lok Parivahan Sewa is going to be started
- Home electricity being supplied to about 208000 households currently without it within two years .
- There will also be more than 2.5 million smart meters installed this year to prevent electricity leakage under Prime Minister Suryaghar Yojana which will also promote model solar villages.
- There are plans for constructing modern shelters and charging stations in major cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Bikaner, and Bharatpur.
- These cities will have their public transport systems reinforced with three hundred electric buses each
- This encompasses new road projects worth Rs.60,000 cores including construction of bypass roads, national highways among other infrastructure development works.
- Road maintenance costs amounting to Rs.9,000 crores include railway bridges; underpass construction; beautification projects etc.
- A new industrial policy will be launched in 2024
- New export promotion policies will be announced.
This led to the creation of nine new expressways whose total length is over 2750 km for the first time. Preparation of DPR (detailed project report) will cost Rs.30 crore.

- A new MSME policy will be announced by the government.
- 300 electric buses are used for urban transportation in 6 cities.
- The amount given for bus shelters and charging station is Rs .25 crore.
- 50 clusters will be set up for handicrafts’ revival and MSME rejuvenation
- Urban areas shall have libraries and Wi-Fi connectivity at an expenditure of Rs.150 Cr..
- Fire brigades in every municipal body at a cost of Rs.65 Cr..
- This shall include creation of a new tourism policy and establishment of Rajasthan Tourism Authority as well.
- Rajasthan Heritage Development Corporation will be also established.
71 solid waste treatment plants would be established with budget allocation of INR650 Crores whereas vehicle tracking system & RFID technology will be deployed to manage legacy waste across 131 centers in city along with other waste management efforts like mechanized/ automated waste transfer stations pan state etc .
- Automated waste transfer stations throughout the state (All across state)
- Hire 1650 highway employees
- Development of various destinations shall receive Rs.200 crore allocation.
- Some less known places such as Jaisalmer fossil park would get Rs .30 crore for refurbishment.
