Reacting to a video that went viral on Thursday where he appeared on a heat exchange event online Journalist Karan Thapar discusses the poll predictions of Political Strategist Prashant Kishore.
Kishore predicted 300 plus seats for bjp In Lok Sabha Elections 2024, It was said that party will come back to power with “similar or slightly better numbers”.
In now-viral interview clip, Thapar inquired about how Kishore had seen upcoming Himachal Pradesh elections of 2022 and Telangana elections of 2023 but kishore said “I never said congress would be routed” and demanded a video proof. Congress bagged 40 out of the total 68 constituencies in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections of 2022 while it cornered 64 out of the total 119 seats in Telangana.
At one point, Kishore also took a glass of water from Thapar while they were arguing.
On Thursday, Kishore fired back at his critics who told him not to drink too much water.
The polling strategist stood by his prediction of “over three hundred seats” for the BJP and said no discernible discontent or “widespread public anger” against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party.
Furthermore, there is no credible rival for Prime Minister Modi which also supports BJP.
The conversation sparked debate about how valid political forecasts are and what strategists go through when they are in public eye.
