New Delhi: Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishore announced on Wednesday that the party would accept any symbol assigned by the party election committeeemphasizing its priority on the mission of transforming Bihar. “Whatever symbol is allotted, we will accept it. Symbol is not important, only change in Bihar is important,” Kishore told reporters, stressing that the focus was on fielding qualified candidates to bring positive reforms.
Kishore formally established the Jansuraj Party in Patna on October 2, marking the party’s transformation from a grassroots movement to a formal political party. Addressing the meeting, he noted that Jan Suraj had been active for two to three years and had recently received approval from the Election Commission of India.
The party will contest all 243 seats in the upcoming election. Bihar assembly electionsIt is expected to take place in October-November 2025.
