New Delhi: 30 police Dies after rifle accidentally discharges in Uttar Pradesh Jaunpur an official said Sunday.
Ratnesh Prajapati, deployed for security leader of the bjp Manoj Singh may have suffered fatal gunshot wounds while cleaning the firearm.
When the incident occurred, Prajapati’s rifle accidentally discharged and he was immediately rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Additional Inspector General of Police Shailendra Singh gave these details.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that his firearm accidentally discharged while officers were cleaning it,” police said in a statement. A detailed investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The deceased police officer’s family has been informed of the tragic accident.
Manoj Singh, the BJP leader to whom Prajapati provides security, is a former vice-president of the Allahabad University students’ union and Malhani’s candidate in the 2020 assembly by-elections.
