Bidding for the mementoes including photographs and books, which the Prime Minister has encouraged the masses to do, is now underway. He explained that their proceeds will be channeled to the ‘Namami Gange’ program.
He said on X, “Every year, I auction the various mementoes I receive during the public programmes. The proceeds of the auction go for the Namami Gange initiative. I’m glad to inform you that this year’s auction is already here. Participate, especially, for those mementoes you find interesting.” Namami Gange is a government initiative for the cleaning and rejuvenation of the Ganges river.
