Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a major roadshow in Ranchi on Sunday ahead of the assembly elections in Jharkhand.
Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand BJP co-chief Himanta Biswa Sarma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a “historic” 3-km roadshow in Ranchi.
“Prime Minister Modi will hold a historic 3-km road show in Ranchi and a large number of people are expected to attend. It will be a historic moment,” Sarma told ANI.
Several senior leaders of the BJP will also participate in the roadshow.
Last week, Prime Minister Modi addressed rallies in Chaibasa and Garhwa on November 5, a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the BJP’s Jharkhand assembly election manifesto.
Prime Minister Modi said at the Chaibasa rally that if a BJP-led government is formed in Jharkhand, steps will be taken to stop infiltration and a law will be enacted to return encroached land to tribal women.
He also highlighted the party’s slogan “roti, beti aur maati” (bread, daughter and land), saying people wanted the BJP-led NDA to come to power in the assembly elections. “Today the whole of Jharkhand is saying – ‘Roti, beti aur maati ki pukaar, Jharkhand me BJP-NDA sarkar’… When the BJP government was first formed, Atal Bihari Bajpayee (Atal Bihari Bajpayee) got an opportunity to serve the country in Delhi and the state of Jharkhand was formed,” PM Modi said.
He accused the Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of engaging in vote bank politics and jeopardizing the identity of Jharkhand.
“JMM-Congress-RJD have jeopardized the identity of Jharkhand. Infiltrators are their largest vote bank… Infiltrators are targeting tribal daughters through lies, fraud and deceit, they are marrying and grabbing tribal lands .
Prime Minister Modi also accused the Congress and its allies of perpetuating “poor and deprived” tribal communities and reiterated the BJP’s commitment to eradicate poverty in Jharkhand. He also accused the ruling JMM of disrespecting former chief minister Champai Soren, highlighting the political turmoil in the state.
“In the 1980s, when the Congress was in power in Bihar and Delhi – Jharkhand was then a part of Bihar – Gua Goli Kaand happened – the kind of barbaric acts committed by the British here , the Congress has done the same with the blood of tribals… RJD leaders once said – Jharkhand will be formed on their corpses… RJD wants to suppress those People who want to form Jharkhand and who is sitting on their lap, today JMM is sitting on RJD’s lap,” he said. .
“I am confident that the BJP-NPA will form a government with more seats than ever in history,” he said.
“They (JMM) disrespected Kul Khan’s son Champai Soren, who was the pride of Kul Khan. They removed him from the chief minister’s post by disrespecting him and the entire country Saw it.
Prime Minister Modi said that he pays close attention to the struggles of the poor. The largest programs in the past 10 years have been targeted at the poor, and 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty in the past 10 years.
“BJP is committed to eradicating poverty in Jharkhand…The Congress and its allies have perpetuated poverty and deprivation among indigenous communities. The JMM-Congress-RJD has jeopardized the identity of Jharkhand. 1 A conspiracy to change his identity is brewing.
“They are snatching your – daughters, bread and land… We will make a law to register land in the name of tribal daughters… They found another way – they declared schools, colleges and universities as minorities institutions – it ends reservation for Dalits, tribals and OBCs in these institutions,” he added.
The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 13 and 20, with counting of votes scheduled to take place on November 23.
A total of 2.6 million voters are eligible to vote, including 1.31 billion male voters, 1.29 billion female voters, 1.184 million first-time voters and 6.684 million young voters.
