New Delhi: Indian National Congress’s Kumar Vai won Arunachal Pradesh’s Barmun assembly constituency by a margin of 635 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Doba Ramino received 5919 votes.
The Bamon constituency will go to polls on April 19, 2024.
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, Goruk Bolduji of the Bharatiya Janata Party won with 5,043 votes, accounting for 51.6% of the votes.The runner-up was Kumar Waii of the National People’s Party, who received 4,650 votes, accounting for 47.58% of the votes.
In 2014, Kumar Wan of the Indian National Congress won with 5,080 votes, receiving 60.12% of the vote. Vijay Sonam of the Bharatiya Janata Party was the runner-up with 3,221 votes, or 38.12%.
