Patna: The district government forced public school days in 76 stores. While on the 31st of August, water level of ganges river crossed the dangerous point of the state’s capital. The objective of the decision, he said however, was to protect both students and teachers.
E-mail, issued the notice by Justice Chandrashekhar Singh on Tuesday, stated: “Because of the growing water levels in the Ganga, from August 27, 76 govt. schools running in 8 blocks of Patna district will be closed till August 31…”
In a recent move, the state government of Bihar has gaeen permission to the district administration to call for closure of schools in their areas in the case of flood-like conditions.
This development comes immediately after a government primary school teacher, while on her way to school, was reported to have been swept away by the fast-moving Ganga river close to Patna.
