New Delhi: Over 100 flights were delayed at Delhi airport on Friday morning due to adverse weather conditions, followed by disruptions to many flights.
There was heavy fog in the capital, with zero visibility.
According to an official, although more than 100 flights faced delays, no diversions were necessary during this period.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said: “While Delhi Airport continues to operate, flights that do not meet CAT III standards may be affected. Passengers are advised to contact the relevant airlines for the latest flight information. We are not responsible for any consequences arising therefrom. We apologize for the inconvenience.
CAT III infrastructure enables aircraft to operate in poor visibility conditions. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) manages Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), which handles approximately 1,300 aircraft movements daily.
