Vinesh’s journey from Delhi to his hometown Balali took nearly 13 hours and covered 135 kilometers. Face adversity.
When Vinesh reached Ballali around midnight, he received a warm welcome from villagers who had gathered to express their support and admiration. Her neighbors and friends greeted her with tears and smiles, acknowledging her strength during the ordeal.
Although she was exhausted from the long journey from Paris, Vinesh took a short break before addressing the gathered crowd. Her words reflected her unwavering commitment to her cause and her belief in the ultimate triumph of truth.
Addressing the crowd, Vinesh said: “Our fight is not over yet, the fight will continue and I pray to God that the truth will prevail.”
Vinesh, accompanied by wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, staged a sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar and spent the night on the streets.

Wrestlers have leveled sexual harassment allegations against former WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. When they tried to march towards the new parliament building, they were forcibly removed from the building.
Legal proceedings against Brij Bhushan are currently underway in Delhi courts.
Upon her return, Vinesh said the warm reception she received will give her the strength to move forward and carry on with her life.
“When I get the love of my fellow Indians, my village and my family, it will give me some courage to let the wounds heal. Maybe, I can return to wrestling,” said the 29-year-old Vinesh.
“Missing an Olympic medal is the biggest wound of my life. I don’t know how much time it will take to heal this wound. I don’t know if I will continue to pursue wrestling, but the courage I got today, I want to use it in the right direction. ,” she added.
Vinesh said she doesn’t know if she deserves the honors.
“But I feel very lucky to have been born in this village. I will always fight for the honor of women and this village.”
“I hope from the bottom of my heart that someone in my village will carry on my legacy and break my record. If I can promote female wrestlers in my village, that will be my greatest achievement,” she said.
Vinesh announced his retirement from the sport after being disqualified.
