India’s Guru Praggnanandhaa ends his campaign with victory over Nakamura Hikaru of the U.S. He finished third in the final and became world champion. Norwegian Chess Ace, Carlsen Magnus wins The Competition was held in Stavanger, Norway.
Carlsen won special tournaments either by classic time control or end of the world In case of a tie.The winner received a prize money amounting to NOK 700,000 (approximately US$65,000).
Although losing to Praggnanandhaa who was ranked third with 14.5 points, Nakamura who had 15.5 points came second overall.
Praggnanandhaa should be happy about winning this match which is one of the greatest matches ever beating three world great players.
An earlier match involved him defeating Carlson With Caruana in classical time control and after Nakamura he was making history because he is a player managed to defeat top three players.

After standard draw by Rui Lopez, Carlsen reserved his energy for the decisive end and guaranteed himself a real advantage in the middle as the game progressed into its queen’s opening.
The Norwegian won a queen and pawn ending that took 52 moves to accomplish because his passed piece in the middle was set to become a new queen.
Using London methods, Praggnanandhaa Nakamura realized this chance and never looked back closely followed by Nakamura. In just 31 moves, he easily won with king side attack.
