A day after hoax bomb threat email is received by the North District, Delhi Police Writes to Google seeking its details IP address’ an official source said. An internet protocol (IP) address is a unique number given to each device that connects to the internet.
On Wednesday, there was a bomb threat at the North Side, where the police department offices are located. Ministry of Interior (Ministry of Interior), but was declared a hoax after nothing suspicious was found.
Sources said that a letter has been sent to Google stating the IP address of the email sent to Home Office.
The case is being investigated by special cell of Delhi Police and local police .Police officer stated for verifying facts; Kartavya Path Police station may also register this matter as FIR
The threat came through an e-mail received by one of the senior MHA officials around 3:30pm on Wednesday. The message read “When you plant a bomb, your building will explode.”
The mail was dispatched through anonymous Gmail account and it is suspected that sender used VPN (Virtual Private Network) which conceals IP addresses according to police.
