Toyota Kirloskar Motor finally launched New Toyota Camry The price of the sedan in the Indian market starts from Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Camry features an all-new design, new interior layout, additional features and improved safety. It’s also more fuel efficient than previous models thanks to a next-generation hybrid system. The new Camry is priced at Rs 1.83 lakh more than its predecessor, which was priced at Rs 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the sedan online or visit their nearest dealership and delivery will begin immediately.
The new ninth-generation Toyota Camry is based on the same TNGA-K platform used in many Toyota and Lexus vehicles, such as Alphard, Sienna, Venza, Lexus ES, Lexus RX, etc. The new Camry is equipped with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine paired with Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system THS 5. This engine is paired with an e-CVT transmission.
In terms of design, the Camry is based on Toyota’s global design language and is an evolution of the older model. At the front, it features a new headlight design that integrates black elements across the front of the vehicle. The sedan also features a honeycomb-patterned grille painted to match the body color that extends to the lower part of the car. While the overall silhouette is similar to the previous model, the roofline appears more sloping and the rear side glass is larger and more angular. At the rear, changes are minimal with redesigned taillights and rear bumper.
In terms of interior, Camry adopts a new interior layout, equipped with a 7.0-inch digital instrument panel, floating 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system, nine-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, wireless Apple Caraplay/Android Auto, HUD display, tri-zone climate control, 10-way power front seats with heating and ventilation, power sunroof and more. The rear seats also feature recline and ventilation functions, controls in the rear center console and retractable sunshades.

In terms of safety, it is equipped with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 ADAS suite, which has pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane maintenance assist, road sign recognition, automatic high beam and other functions. Other safety features include nine airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. The Camry will enter India through the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route and compete directly with the Skoda Superb. Given its pricing, the new Camry could serve as a potential replacement for models like the Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, and BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine.
