The NEET-UG 2024 counseling has been postponed till further notice, including the All India Quota (AIQ) counseling that is supposed to start today. Yet no new dates have been given.

In separate affidavits filed before the Supreme Court by the Central Government and NTA, they both admitted that there was limited impact of irregularities, cheating, impersonation, malfeasance and leakage of papers which were confined to some centers in Patna and Godhra only wherein affected candidates themselves were not influenced.
The tests have also been mired in various controversies such as alleged question paper leaks and questionable marking practices that have ignited widespread anger resulting in countrywide demonstrations. In addition to this, unrest led some students being retaking NEET UG examination while postponing NEET PG exam. Responding to concerns about inflating marks through awarding “grace marks”, authorities decided to retest on June 23rd those 1,563 candidates who had this problem.
Out of these candidates whose scores may be inaccurate due to grace mark addition, 813 opted for re-examination for having genuine results. At least close half (48%) from these candidates still retained their initial marks without any controversial tinsel on top.
