New Delhi: Supreme Court Pushed back Nite and The hearing continues until next Thursday, July 18, to address the alleged issues Irregularities and Misconduct During the physical examination on May 5. A status report has been submitted by CBI to court in relation to this matter.
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court expressed alarm about NEET-UG 2024 Exam’s integrity, suggesting that a retest of the question paper could be required if it was leaked out through social media platforms. It postponed the matter to July 11 and asked the CBI to provide a status report by Wednesday.
Currently, more than 30 petitions relating to NEET-UG examination are being reviewed by the Supreme Court of India which raised different matters including verifiable irregularities as well as malpractices during its conduct on May 5th. Some petitioners are praying for fresh determination.
On another appeal, over fifty NEET-UG aspirants from Gujarat have filed an application with the court requesting a stay order against declaration of controversial exams invalidity by Centre and National Testing Agency (NTA).
The NEET UG exam has been hit by claims of cheating including alleged questions leaks and suspect marking procedures resulting in huge demonstrations across India because of anger. Consequently, some students had to sit again for NEET UG whereas others had their exams postponed i.e. NEET-PG exam.
