nThe National Democratic Alliance (NDA) elected TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu as their Chief Ministerial Candidate for the state of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. According to sources in his party, Naidu and other members are scheduled to be swor in at 11:27 am on June 12 near Gannavaram Airport at Kesarapalli IT Park.
This move came after the meeting held by NDA at Vijayawada where allies comprising TDP, BJP and Janasena elected TDP’s Naidu as its parliamentary leader. Pawan Kalyan, Janasena chief proposed his name. The meeting also had the presence of BJP president Daggubati Purandeswari.
In the meantime, all Jana Sena Party MPs have unanimously selected their President Pawan Kalyan to head up Andhra Pradesh Assembly House.
With a total of 164 out of 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for which there were elections, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) got a massive number of seats; this means that they won by a big margin. Among them, TDP-135, Janasena-21and BJP-8.
