The National Council of Medical Sciences Examinations (NBEMS), on Friday, announced new dates for the NEET PG exam which was originally scheduled to be held on June 22nd but it was postponed just 12 hours before due to ‘precautionary measures’.
According to the announcement, NEET PG examination will now take place in two shifts on August 11.
The notice reads: “In continuation of NBEMS notification dated 22nd June, 2024, the conduct of NEET-PG examination 2024 has been changed. The NEET-PG examination 2024 will be taken on August 11th, 2024 in two shifts.”
The last day for appearing in NEET-PG 2024 Examination for admission to postgraduate medical courses in Government or Private medical colleges is still August 15, 2024.
Due to controversy over alleged exam “irregularities” in May 9’s NEET-UG exam, government has postponed its NEET-PG examination slated for next month.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) that holds the NEET UG exams has been criticized over reports of improprieties. These events have sparked demonstrations and demands by demonstrators and political parties across the country calling for abolition of NTA.
On July8, the Supreme Court is expected to hear a bunch of pleas alleging paper leakages and irregularities during the conduct of NEET-UG examinations.
