The senior actor Nasiruddin Shah, known for his realistic performances as Gufran Hussain in Sarfarosh, agreed to take part in a special screening dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the cult film. He spoke about the response that the film has had so far and especially its reception in Pakistan during media interaction preceding the screening.
Nasiruddin added with joy, “Even today on Facebook I get messages saying You are the real Gulfam Hasan.” “That is why it gives me more satisfaction that Sarfarosh is highly regarded in Pakistan,” he said.
On crossing to other side of the border Naseeruddin also revealed his initial concerns about how it would be taken by him. “Whenever I used to go there they always used to mention Sarfarosh. I was surprised. Mujhe laga tha joote maarenge mujhe (I thought they would hit me with their shoes!),” he recalled humorously. But much to his surprise Pakistani audiences loved and embraced this movie.

In a notable announcement made at the event Aamir Khan who plays Assistant Commissioner of Police Ajay Singh Rathod in Sarfaroshsays he intends to explore another variation called Sarfarosh 2.
“For one thing, we are definitely considering it now and we will come up with a script that is suitable for it,” he said. This is seen from part lyticism on potential sequel over having an echo called″ My next movie should be ″Sarfarosh 2”.
