KOLKATA: PMLA court magistrate Prashanta Mukhopadhyay wanted to know from the ED why this was delayed for 11 years. Nalini Chidambaramcongressional veteran P Chidambaram wife, in the 64-page charge sheet in Sarada’s case.
The agency has named Nalini also a lawyer who acted as an “advisor” to the accused in relation to a transaction for a private television channel. Preliminary submission of additional documents to support his allegations and detail the nature of his role consultant before the court considers whether to accept the charge sheet.

ED’s lawyer Bhaskar Prasad Banerjee said that it had filed an interim seizure order against Nalini; and that it is “responsible” for the agency mentioning her name on its charge-sheet. Last year, provisional attachment order worth Rs 6 crore issued by ED including assets of Nalini’s, within this case.
While she claims she received money as legal fees for working as a tax consultant. There was no documental proof provided by Nalini about that claim. ED also submitted a compilation document which contains 1,100 pages before special court.
The bench directed issuance of notice by the agency to Nalini onthe charge sheetand relevant sections under Law Of India. Parami News messages left for Nalini were not replied.
It may be recalled that CBI earlier claimed that she figured in a letter allegedly written by Saradha boss. Sudipta Sen to them (agency) in April 2013 stating that her salary is being paid from Saradha’s account itself. Sources said Nalini got Rs 15 crore from sen himself.
