Udupi:A 12 year old boy allegedly died suspicious circumstances Saturday. The deceased is Mohammad Zahid. Rihana Begum from Brahmavar Varamballi village said in a complaint that her son lived in a Madrasa Inn He has been attending eighth grade at a private school in Hladay for the past four months. The incident occurred on October 11, the day after he returned to his dormitory from vacation.
It is reported that around 10pm, the head of the dormitory, Syed Ibrahim Junaid Ripayi, called the complainant’s husband, Mohammad Tauseef, and asked him to come over immediately.
On the way, Tausev received another call asking him to go to the Brahmaval Community Health Centre.
After questioning Ripayi, it was learned that Zahid did not show up for dinner at 9pm, so a search was launched. He was later found in a hotel bathroom, where he allegedly hanged himself. Despite being rushed to hospital, doctors examined Zahid and declared him dead. The family expressed concern over the suspicious circumstances of the death. Cases have been registered at brahmaval police station.
