NEW DELHI: In whatever way the game ends, nothing can take away from the attraction of MS Dhoni on the cricket ground. The appearance of Thala approaching to beat even for a delivery is enough to send the crowd into fits of happiness and anticipation.
A video surfaced on CSK’s social media handle showing MS Dhoni bowling during practice ahead of their highly anticipated do or die clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The legendary wicketkeeper-batsman was caught on camera bowling during a team net session.
Will he amaze people with his impressive bowling skills against RCB this Saturday?
“Just ADORABOWL when he bowls,” CSK posted on their social media handle.
CSK batting coach Michael Hussey wishes Dhoni would be with the team for another couple of years, saying that the ex-captain still bats well.
Dhoni, 42, shocked everyone by stepping down as captain just one day before 2024 season commenced. Ruturaj Gaikwad took charge of the side.
“We hope that he keeps going. He is still batting so well. He does prepare well – he gets into camp very early and hits lots of balls. He has been in good touch all season really,” Hussey said on ESPN’s Around The Wicket show.
“I think we just need to manage him more from a body point of view. He had an operation on his knee after last season, so it’s something that he had been managing since at least early stages of this tournament.”
“I hope he keeps going for another couple of years but we will just have to wait and see. He is the only one who will make that call. And, he likes to sort of build the drama a little bit as well. So, I wouldn’t expect a decision anytime soon.”
Dhoni led CSK to record five IPL titles.
