India’s luxury MPV segment is about to get a new competitor as JSW MG Motor India prepares to launch its first MPV. The model will carry the “M9” moniker and be sold globally Mifa 9. MG M9 eMPV: battery and performance

Globally, the 2021 MiFa 9 features a front-wheel drive electric powertrain. It is equipped with a 90kWh lithium battery that powers its 245hp motor, delivering 350Nm of torque and a WLTP-certified range of 580km. In terms of dimensions, the M9 is 5,270 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, 1,840 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3,200 mm. In addition, this MPV has a top speed of 180 km/h.
While the ICE model is available in international markets, it seems unlikely that it will make it to India considering MG’s clear focus on new energy vehicles. The company’s sales momentum is driven by its electric product lineup. Notably, the recently launched Windsor EV has sold more than 10,000 units in just three months after its launch.
