A soldier, a man of thirty-two years old, was arrested in Hyderabad for the attempted rape of a teenager after he ‘aggressed’ her boyfriend.
Yesterday, following a complaint by the girl of nineteen, the soldier who works at Signal Regimentary in Secunderabad was captured.
Upon hearing screams from the girl while passing near-by, he was nabbed when a police constable rushed to his site.
On the evening of July 23rd that very year, a storm came up. In this storm, the girl and her friend went and hid under a tree which was found at the base of a hill.
They said that after attacking her friend, the man took the girl to nearby bushes trying to rape her. She managed to resist him but then he hit her.
However, he quickly ran away when he spotted the police constable who called for backup from his colleague and together they trapped him. The jawan allegedly attacked one of the constables, they said.
This person originates from Bhagalpur in Bihar; police reported that he was taken before court where he was remanded by them on judicial custody.
