New Delhi: bangalore police Arrested 21-year-old Arav Hanoyaccused of murdering 19-year-old vlogger Maya Gogoia serviced apartment in the Indira Nagar area of the city. According to the deputy commissioner of police in the east, Harnoy was arrested on the outskirts of Karnataka state after an intensive manhunt.
Maya, a native of Assam, was found dead in a service apartment opposite Dual Road Park in Indira Nagar on Tuesday morning. She works as a student counselor in a private company in Koramangala and has been living in HSR Layout for the past three years.
Police investigation revealed that Maya checked into the Royal Life Hotel on November 23 in the company of Arav, a resident of Kannur. The pair booked the room together and Araf allegedly committed the crime the next day and left the scene in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
CCTV recording Photos recovered from the hotel showed the pair entering the serviced apartment together. However, what followed was a harrowing series of events. Police sources said Arav stabbed Maya to death and spent nearly 24 hours on her lifeless body before fleeing. Disturbingly, he allegedly calmly smoked a cigarette near her body before escaping.
After Maya’s body was discovered, police launched an investigation that led to the arrest of Arav. Details about his motive are still under investigation, but preliminary findings suggest a personal dispute may have escalated into violence.
