Akhilesh Yadav arrived at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 11.40 am, accompanied by his party colleague and former Lok Sabha MP Kiran May Kiranmay Nanda, Trinamool MP and national spokesman Derek O’Brien.
Talking to reporters on Saturday, TMC president Mamata Banerjee said the event was not just a political rally but also a tribute to Bengal’s “Maa-Mati-Manush” (motherland, land and people) pay tribute. “This is to commemorate Bangladesh, preserve its dignity and protect the country,” she said.
