Malavika Mohanan who experienced some success Following in the footsteps of Southern cinema, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Udra wants to be Siddhant Chaturvedi in her first Hindi film. This action drama movie is all set to release this weekend and is getting attention for its action sequences.
Down south, the actress has worked with some of the biggest stars, from Rajinikanth to Chiyan Vikram. Recalling the legend’s working experience, Malavikar in an exclusive interview to ETimes said, “My first Tamil film (Petta) was with him (Rajinikanth). I played one of the side characters; in the other movies I was the main character, however in this one I was supporting and it was the only way to get screen time with him as I wasn’t comfortable enough to play the lead opposite him. He understands your background, your roots, your diet etc. just cause he made an effort to understand you.”
The actress also had a very intriguing experience Reka Some lady she encountered at an award function. While speaking about the event, she stating it as “when Beyond the clouds Already released i was nominated for a big award show and i was sitting in the first row nexr to Rekha Ji”. Also, she was very warm to me and she would ask me such things like if I had eaten dinner or where my native place was. She was not focus on the dinner; she was curious about me and she did not have to be so warm towards her for any reason. She’s a very colorful storyteller and a story teller in her own right. The announcement of the award finally arrived and to my disappointment, and although it was myself who suffered the greatest blow, I managed to keep a smile on my face, but she could tell that my body language was betraying me and she told me ‘it’s okay, you know, you’re going to get more awards’, this is when I first met her.
It is a matter of observation that “Rajinikanth and Rekha always says everybody is nice if there is an agenda an intention or if a person wants to project a certain image or present himself in a certain manner but when you are kind for no reason at all that speaks volumes about how great you are.”
After Rajasaab, Malavika will appear in a film alongside Prabhas.
