Bhopal: Car valley river skeleton found The place where Gopi village is situated has been linked to the missing couple – Mithlesh and Neeraj Jatav, her cousin.
The pair eloped 4 months and 2 weeks ago. Soon after Mukesh’s wife went missing on February 6th, 2024, he reported her disappareance to the Ambah police station. However, the family of Neeraj initially played down his absence, arguing that they would both come back soon. This inconsistency was suspicious according to the police.
In Kwari River during pre-monsoon cleaning a car appeared again. A lowering water brought out vehicle covered by moss which later was picked up by Sihoniya police along with assistance from villagers and JCB. According to its registration number (MH 03 BC-8720), it was identified as being a car.
There are two major lines of inquiry for Police; first that Neeraj and Mithlesh were killed somewhere else then afterwards thrown into the river along with their car bodies. Also under investigation is whether or not there was an accident. The road through which the vehicle entered had no embankment; hence suspicions about speeding or sliding off during fall arose.
Additional SP Arvind Thakur said that she was recognized by Mukesh due to clothes “Her clothes helped him recognise her.” Thakur continued “But we will take DNA samples from both the remains for further confirmation”.
Some marks were noticed on bridge railings indicating that possibly car might have fallen into river. The police are currently inquiring about these issues more systematically. Relatives are also interrogated by forensic experts who are examining the vehicle while at mishlesh’s disappearance any possible eye witness may be contacted by police themselves
