District administration has announced a project called ‘future tycoon” that will be started on 15th August.
An official statement from the district said, “The programme is aimed at making students, young people, women, persons with disabilities and the general public of Ludhiana to give their dream projects new ideas, concepts or projects. The government will extend its full support to help bring these Ideas become reality.”
Sakshi Sawhney, Deputy Commissioner made the first meeting of stakeholders in which she chaired and stated that we are trying empower those with the best thought so as to make them successful business leader through seed funding that helps them make their thoughts real. The main concern for would-be tycoons is marginalized and oppressed members of society who may not have other means if seeking financial support for their ideas or businesses”
She added this scheme will also act as a platform for fresh ideas, concepts & small scale businesses. This plan’s implementing agency is District Employment & Enterprise Bureau (DEEB). She also mentioned that after presenting my topmost ideas, future plans entrepreneur and notions related to her jury will chooses winners in various categories. “Winners will receive cash prizes as well as seed funding and investment assistance angel investorloans and subsidies and registration on the New Startup Portal”.
The Deputy Director also mentioned that this program was intended to promote innovation within new startups Involving health, education, agriculture ,IT etc. She also urged industry to fully support launching of this programme.
