Within hours of a video emerging showing revellers harassing a couple on a motorcycle in Gomti Nagar, the police acted. District Police Officer (DCP) Eastern Zone and two other senior police officers were given the boot by the police commissioner. Furthermore, Three more policemen from gomti nagar, including Station Officer (SHO), have been suspended.

The dismissed individuals include: DCP East Zone Prabal Pratap Singh, Additional DCP Amit Kumawat and Gomti Nagar Assistant Commissioner of Police Anshu Jain. The others listed for suspension are: Gomtinagar SHO, Deepak Pandey; Rishi Vivek who commands the police outpost; Kapil Kumar – sub-inspector as well as Dharamvir and Kapil Kumar – constables.

This disturbing footage that shows the couple being splashed with water while they fell off their motorbike because of some people. The incident happened near Taj Mahal Hotel flooded underpass where revelers engaged themselves in ruinous activities like splashing water on passersby.

Additionally more videos showed men gathering to destroy cars as well as vandalizing street lights and pushing cyclists into flooded streets prompting public outrage over generalizations about women’s and overall public security.

The police immediately moved to contain the situation after the video went viral; they used their batons to disperse unruly individuals. this Lucknow Police The public updated via Twitter: “Police from Gomti Nagar police station have rushed to the scene and are taking necessary actions. All personnel have been taken away and the situation is under control.”

Four persons have been arrested so far while police are still looking for others implicated in that misconduct.

“During proceedings of Gomti Nagar case four suspects have been arrested by relevant authorities. Besides this, due to local police’s apparent negligence, senior-most officer from local jurisdiction has been withdrawn.” Additionally “Moreover All personnel starting from inspector-in-charge of local police officer Battalion Commander In Charge Post Appointments And also other personnel have been suspended.
